Industrial steam boiler furnace walls are mainly divided into three types: heavy furnace walls, light furnace walls, and tube-supported furnace walls (pipe-laying furnace walls).
1. Application of furnace wall of heavy industrial steam boiler
The furnace wall is built directly on the boiler foundation, that is, the weight of the furnace wall is directly borne by the boiler wall foundation. The furnace wall is generally composed of two layers of refractory bricks and red bricks. This type of furnace wall is thicker, generally 500mm, and has a larger mass. The height of this type of furnace wall is also restricted due to its direct masonry and heavy weight. When it is too high, on the one hand, the furnace wall is unstable, and on the other hand, due to the limited strength at high temperatures, it generally does not exceed 10m. Above 10m, structural measures must be taken. For example, a simple metal frame can be used to enhance its stability. Because industrial boilers are generally below 10-12m, heavy furnace walls are used.
2. Features of heavy industrial steam boiler boiler wall
The outer layer of the heavy furnace wall is built with standard red brick 240mm × 115mm × 53mm, and the inner layer is built with standard refractory brick T-3. Its size is 230mm × 113mm × 65mm. A gap of 20 ~ 30mm is left between the refractory brick and the red brick, and it is filled with heat-insulating asbestos board or asbestos powder. In order not to separate the refractory bricks from the red bricks, every 5 to 7 layers of refractory bricks are increased in the height direction, it is required to insert half bricks from the refractory bricks into the red brick layer to make the red bricks mesh. In order to ensure the free expansion of the furnace wall, vertical temperature expansion joints are left along the entire height of the furnace wall in the middle of the four corners and the wider furnace wall. Expansion gaps should also be left in contact with the steel frame, the drum, and the wall tube. . Generally, the width of the expansion joint is 10 ~ 25mm, and it is arranged every 5m of the furnace wall width. Asbestos rope is embedded in the expansion joint to prevent slag from entering and air leakage. The expansion joint is only arranged inside the furnace wall (fire brick layer).
The above is part of my knowledge about the industrial steam boiler furnace wall, which I hope will be useful to everyone.
